Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress when she was just at the age of six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute that offers part-time classes. When she was 10, Emma had taken part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's debut film coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The most successful film of 2001, the film set records in its first day sales as well as opening weekend takings. The film has been praised by critics for its film and the performances by the three young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma's performance was nominated and later won awards in the film.
